Love that the wood paneled front matches my other finishings and makes this unit look very sleek in my home. Also love the light indicators, which conveniently and accurately show how much & just how badly the air quality changes.

The light range goes: purple (worst) – red – orange – green – blue (best). I use my purifier nonstop in a 590sq. ft. studio condo that is on a shared HVAC vent system in a very large (300+ unit) building; I often find a lot of dust and debris from other units get blown into mine as a result.

So it took some time for the purifier light to turn from purple to green, and still has yet to hit blue, but I blame the building ventilation system and construction in my adjacent neighbor’s unit, and not my Alen purifier.

Based on how much crud it has captured on the prefilter in the first month alone, this purifier is clearly doing its job. All in all, my household has experienced obvious improvements in air quality since getting this purifier and have no regrets about going with this model for our space!.

This thing (Alen 75i) is unbelievable. I originally bought this as my wife has struggled with allergies for years and now takes allergy shots and over-the-counter allergy medication too. It only takes about 20 minutes for you notice that breathing becomes so much easier and it feels as though your lungs are a lot clearer.

I noticed it almost immediately and could not believe that it made such a huge difference is so little time. My wife and I love the 75i. I got one for her home office and we have one in the master bedroom.

I even sent my parents one. They are old school skeptics and did not even open the box for the first two days even though I asked to just give it a 30-minute try. They immediately noticed a difference and love theirs.

I had a Blue Air purifier maybe a week before I read the Consumer Reports ratings. Once I read that CR scored the Alen 75i higher than the Blue Air I jumped online and ordered one. My husband was told by his doctor to get a hepa air purifier for the bedroom to help with his allergies. We researched our options and decided on the BreatheSmart Flex for two reasons. A larger Alen air purifier was chosen the best unit by Consumer Reports for 2022 and we wanted to buy from a company whose main product was air purifiers not toaster ovens or coffee pots.

Our purifier arrived within a week of purchase. It was packaged with engineering precision (think Apple product. ) I love the way it looks and it was very easy to set up. We installed the filter and plugged it in.

The flex unit has 4 speeds. We leave it on 24/7 usually at speed 2 or 3. During the night we turn it to speed 1 and it is so quiet I have gotten out of bed to see if it is working. Does it work? My husband has been sleeping better, less sneezing and nose blowing.

But the real pollen season for our area is just getting started, so we are cautiously optimistic. I have noticed that the kitchen odors we sometimes smelled in our second floor bedroom are nonexistent.

Finally, I like the replacement filter subscription plan. We signed up when we registered our air purifier. It makes sense to use an Alen filter in our unit because it’s only going to work as well as the filter you use.

I originally purchased this after buying a 2000+ sqft home that has no HVAC system (so air circulation is poor) and needed a lot of mold remediation so this has been a saving grace. Recently took advantage of a promotion and purchased the BreatheSmart FIT50 as our second Alen air purifier. We’ve had a BreatheSmart FLEX for five years and it’s been running pretty much non-stop since we took it out of the box and plugged it in.

We bought the FLEX to replace another (expensive, highly rated) purifier that crapped out on us after only a couple of years. Love the look and feel of the Alens. The filters, though expensive, are high quality and worth the cost; plus, the options are great (though we exclusively use the Silver-Carbon filter).

The FLEX is so quiet on low that I often forget it’s on. The BreatheSmart FIT50 is a beast. It has a sizeable footprint but lots of style. We’re using it in our main living space, and can tell a difference in air quality as soon as it’s turned on.

Like the FLEX, it’s loud on full blast, but it only ever needs to be turned up to quickly refresh the entire room. Unlike the FLEX, it has an auto option, a sensor, and an ionizer. The extra features are nice, but what’s best is its coverage and the quality of construction.

Solid, sturdy, and with such excellent replaceable filters, I’m sure it will out last most (if not all) of our other small appliances.

I have a very sensitive nose when it comes to smells, but I really love having pets. The smell was really starting to get to me so I decided to give this a try, and I’m so glad I did. This air purifier is a powerhouse! I got the OdorCell filter for it and it works like a charm.

I tested it after doing some of the stinkiest tasks in the house such as taking out the kitchen trash and emptying the litter genie, and ten minutes max was all it needed to remove every bad odor floating around the room.

It’s also extremely quiet even when it’s turned on high, the noise it makes just slips into the background so no need to turn up the volume on the TV when you have it on. Overall, a really great product, it works great even with heavy pet odor.

The only tiny complaint I have is that the white front panel is very staticky which isn’t great when you have shedding pets, I’ll probably buy a different front panel in the future since, luckily, Alen has several very nice options to choose from.

We have two of the Alen T500 units, purchased in the past 2 years. Those are good and reliable, with good filter life in general household (bedroom) use. Went with the BreatheSmart FLEX unit this time as I wanted something quieter, and it is definitely that.

When running on its lowest speed, it’s quieter than the air conditioning. On speed 2, it’s about the same level of noise as when our air conditioning is blowing through the vents, maybe slightly louder than that.

By comparison, I’d say the T500 on its lowest speed is slightly louder than the BreatheSmart FLEX on speed 2. However, having run the T500 in my bedroom at night, I would characterize it as white noise that can easily be tolerated, and might even be helpful to those who like white noise for sleep.

The downside of the BreatheSmart FLEX is it takes up more floor space than the T500.

This is my second Levoit air purifier that I bought just days after getting their H133. I was so amazed by the performance of the larger unit that I decided to get the 200S for my bedroom and it definitely lived up to my very high expectations of Levoit products.

Let me highlight some of the strengths and weaknesses of the 200S. Design (9/10): This little thing is the perfect size to set on a nightstand, countertop or bookshelf. Unlike most air purifiers, it is actually nice to look at too and almost looks like more of a piece of modern art than a machine.

The top of the device contains the control pad, and also serves as the vent where the clean air comes out of. The control pad also houses the night light, which creates a warm glow when turned on. The bottom of the unit houses the filter and has small holes around the entire machine to allow air to enter the filter.

The only thing I wish it had is some small indentions or handles on the side to make it easier to carry. You definitely don’t want to drop this thing. Noise (10/10): As you can see, I have this unit right on my nightstand next to my bed.

On sleep mode, you don’t even know the thing is on. On low, it is barely audible which is what I leave it on during the night. Medium and high are louder though but also that’s to be expected. Performance (100/10): The rating is not a typo.

Here is where this thing really shines. I use this purifier in conjunction with my H133 and my breathing at night has never been better. The purifier catches all kinds of dust and impurities that are easy to see when you take the filter out for regular cleaning.

The air quality in my small, stuffy bedroom is now clean and since the fan is so effective, the air is no longer stuffy as well. Features (9/10): 3 fan speeds, a timer, a night light and smart home integration.

The only thing I would recommend for future models is an auto mode similar to what they have on their larger purifiers, where the machine can automatically detect changes in air quality and turn the fan up or down depending.

Ease of use/cleaning (10/10): Operating the unit is as simple as turning it on from the app or on the top of the unit itself. The timer feature can be set to 2 hour intervals on the device or any time you want on the app.

Cleaning couldn’t be easier as you just slip the filter out of the bottom weekly and either wipe or vacuum the dust off the surface of the filter and put it back in. Overall (9. 8/10): Overall, this unit performs exactly as you’d expect a Levoit product to perform and that’s a lot to say.

The only points taken off are for the lack of an “auto mode” and also needing some handles/grip tape to make it easier to pick up and move around. It is well built for easy operation and the aesthetically pleasing design allows you to put it just about anywhere as it is not an eyesore to look at in the slightest.

The machine itself works incredibly well in purifying the air to where I can now sleep well through the night and wake up breathing easily instead of having congestion. Couple good performance with an easy to use interface and simple cleaning instructions, and you get one high-quality air purifier that will meet all your needs.

This is a very versatile, efficient and powerful air purifier. The controls are set in the top of the unit and are very easy to understand and operate. I familiarized myself with them in conjunction with the user manual.

This unit is fairly large and designed to operate effectively in a larger room, and so it is perfect for my living room. The SMART technology is extremely innovative in the way it scans the surrounding environment and then it sends updates to my Android phone in real time.

This allows me to check that everything is working properly and producing the kind of air quality I am looking for. I like to have the Auto Mode feature enabled because it can facilitate the automatic adjustment of the fan speed when the air quality warrants it.

The Levoit PlasmaPro 600S True HEPA Air Purifier has been a breath of fresh air in our home. The quality of air in our home has improved significantly. We received this unit about 2 days ago and there is a noticeable difference in the air that we breathe in our home.

We are currently using this air purifier on the first floor of our home and it does an amazing job removing everyday dust and pollen and removing those strong food smells from our kitchen area. The purifier uses a 3-stage filtration system plus a really unique feature that I have not seen before.

So, lets go over the features, PROS and CONS of the Levoit PlasmaPro 600S True HEPA Air Purifier. Setup: The setup process for the Levoit PlasmaPro is rather simple. Before you begin to use the unit, you need to twist the top portion off and remove the plastic off the HEPA filter.

Simply place the filter back in and you are ready to go. But, if you would like to be able to control the unit, then I would highly recommend that you download the accompanying VeSync app. To sync your machine with the app, you simply hold down the power button for 5 seconds until the WIFI symbol on the unit starts to blink and it should connect.

If you like, you can also connect the unit to either Alexa or to your Google Eco System. Now, you can control your unit from anywhere and also with a simple voice command. Your unit is ready to go. Features: Unit Specs -12.

5 X 12. 5 X 24 – 14lbs This air purifier can be used for large room up 1500 sq. ft, but in the room that large the purifier will only clean and recirculate the air twice per hour, which is still not bad.

Our first floor is about 850 to 900 sq. ft, so we estimate that it is cleaning and recirculating the air about 3 to 4 times per hour. PlasmaPro – So this is something new for me and I have yet to see on any air purifier.

So, to make it simple, once this option is turned on it breaks down the pollutants, odorous gases, aerosols and VOCs. So, to put this unit to the test, I sprayed and aerosol air fresher and the unit sucked it all in and after a few seconds I was not able to smell the scent at all.

So, I can tell you that this thing works. Touch Sensitive buttons – The unit has 8 touch sensitive buttons with a really nice display LED display in the middle. In the middle you will also find a light senor.

The light senor mode when activated, the purifier will adjust itself based on the light in the room and once the room is dark it will power it self off. Air Sight Plus- The Air sight plus mode will adjust the fan based on the air quality in the room.

Overall, I am very happy with this air purifier. I have tired and tested out multiple units and this one had all the features that I wanted. Its affordable, it works for large rooms, easy to maintain, WIFI connection and the ability to add this to my Google system and best of all it does what it is meant to do and that is to provide you with pure clean air.

The air filtration system arrived in seemingly good condition as per usual buying from CPO. The instructions state that there is packing material and hardware inside the case behind the filters which needs to be removed.

I’m fortunate this was the case, since when I began removing the inside Styrofoam, I noticed a bolt lying on the bottom of the case beneath the blower assembly. Upon further inspection, I found another bolt and noticed the remaining 2 were only screwed in a couple of turns.

I was unable to reinsert the missing bolts due to space and visual constraints, so I had to remove the 3 screws on the back which hold the blower in place. I was then able to maneuver the blower forward enough to reinsert and tighten the 4 socket head cap screws.

It then took a bit more of contortion to get the blower back in place and lined up with the attaching screws. This is plain and simple poor quality control, and poor workmanship. If it hadn’t been so heavy and I hadn’t had to destroy the box getting the machine out, I would have sent it back.

Hopefully it functions better than it was built.

I added this filter system to my shop after reading various articles and reviews and desiring to keep my shop (former garage with an entrance directly to the house) as clean as possible. I wanted to minimize the amount of dust tracked into the house.

My shop only has a volume of 2880 cubic feet, so even on low speed the filter will hypothetically circulate all the air in about 5 minutes. I just installed the filter this week and haven’t had enough experience with it yet to see how well it actually works.

I placed it near my dust collection unit hoping it will pick up airborne particles exhausted or missed by that unit – we’ll see what happens. The filter is a little louder than I had hoped it would be, but on low speed it is just background noise.

Even blowing out a candle in our bedroom will cause it to work harder, which is really cool to see so that we know it’s actually doing it’s job and cleaning our air! Setup of the purifier consisted of removing the plastic bag from the filter, plugging it in and turning it on, and downloading the very easy to use app.

It doesn’t get more simple than that! There also was no assembly required, which I always appreciate. Along with the fancy features though, comes a larger size- and this purifier is BIG. We have it tucked in a corner of the room so it doesn’t bother us, but definitely something to keep in mind before purchasing!.

I think the main feature I like and dislike about this air filter is the fan, it blows straight up… so I love it in my living room/ kitchen but I would never put it in my bedroom because I love having air blow my direction when I am sleeping.

But I love that it blows straight up for the living room where the only time I might want a fan is on a really hot day in the summer. Now to the stuff that might actually matter to 95% of people that read this review… This is a connected air filter so if you are looking for the benefits of connected then this is an awesome choice.

If not, then this can be run manually too but you do loose some of the benefits like having the link to the replacement filter built into the app, outside air quality, remote control, remote monitoring, and pollutant information.

I found this last one interesting as I have never really thought about pollutant types but knowing more information about the type of pollutant it is dealing with might help you decide if more investigation is warranted.

For instance if it is always picking up PM10 which is stuff like sand or mold and you know sand isn’t an issue… you might want to get a mold inspections. With the air purifier being next to the kitchen there is an uptick in pollutants whenever I cook, which we have natural gas so this does make sense (also, I’m not always the best cook) and it is nice to know that those pollutants are being whisked away in a timely manner now.

The app allows you to set the fan speed to Auto and 1-4, a timer, and the brightness of the LED display (including setting it to off). In the living room I tend to keep the air purifier on auto and just let it do its thing.

This review is specifically for the single-room size FAP-SC02L Filtrete Smart Air Purifier. I had previously reviewed the extra-large, multi-room FAP-T03-A2 air purifier a couple of years ago. Although I was generally pleased with the older device’s performance, it lacked any sort of automated control other than a simple timer.

For that reason, I had given it four stars instead of five. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to discover that this newest generation of air filters were deemed “smart” devices and therefore leapt at the opportunity to trial test one of the units offered by 3M in exchange for my assessment.

To simply say that this latest version of air purifier meets or even exceeds my expectations doesn’t even begin to express my satisfaction with this device. Yes, it remains relatively quiet during operation.

Yes, it also retains the timer function of the original filter. And yes, it is now WiFi-enabled and can be controlled not only by a smart-phone app, but is Alexa-enabled as well, allowing operation via voice commands.

However, perhaps its greatest new feature is the “Automatic” mode that varies operation based upon room air quality, as measured by an internal laser-based sensor! Not only that, but the air quality is prominently displayed on both control unit of the unit itself and the smart-phone app as well – color coded and actual particle count.

Eventually, the air purifier will likely wind up in the bedroom, as originally planned. However, in the meantime I am truly fascinated simply moving the unit from room to room and watching the article count quickly diminish over the course of a few hours, taking the air quality from “Poor” to “Good” and throttling down the fan speed accordingly as the quality improved.

First of all, I was dismayed to find out just how poor the air quality was in certain rooms. Secondly, I was amazed how quickly the quality improved. This filter is extremely efficient. I will very likely be purchasing additional units to be permanently deployed in additional rooms strategically placed throughout the house.

Out-of-the-box setup for basic operation was straightforward – remove bag from box, remove from bag, remove protective plastic from display panel, plug it in, press “ON”. The control panel provides basic functions as well as displaying device status and air quality.

Air quality is displayed by a numeric measurement of particle count, which is then also rendered in an intuitive color-coded display that can be readily seen at a distance: Green (GOOD), Yellow (FAIR), Orange (POOR), Red (VERY POOR), and Purple (SEVERE).

Initially, the particle count for room in which I set it up read approximately 120 (Orange – POOR). Within less than an hour, the particle count had decreased to less than 10 (Green – GOOD) and the fan was automatically adjusted downward to its lowest speed setting.

At the lowest fan speed, you have to be no more than eight to ten feet away to even hear it running. At that point, I decided to experiment a bit and used a vacuum hose connected to the exhaust port of a small one-gallon portable ShopVac to stir up any dust that had settled on various items situated throughout the room – initially, the particle count climbed immediately to the mid-60s (Yellow – FAIR) and the fan speed kicked into medium, but within 30 minutes, the count had dropped to zero (Green – GOOD).

The room is 12 feet by 13 feet, so fairly closely matched to the 150 square foot rating of the air purifier. Setup of the Filtrete smartphone app was on a par with other similar home automation apps.

The only problem I encountered was that the app did not initially recognize my home WiFi, preferring to link to several of my neighbors’ networks instead. I actually had to place the purifier in closer proximity to the router in order to get a lock.

However, once the setup was complete, the app was absolutely bulletproof during operation. All of the pertinent operating controls and status are available on a single screen. The only minor gripe I have is that it is not intuitively obvious how to bring it out of Sleep Mode following shutdown at the expiration of a self-timer period of operation; HINT – switch the grayed-out Fan Speed from 0 to 1.

Integration with Amazon’s Alexa was a little trickier and the results somewhat less than satisfactory. In the end, Alexa responds to SOME of the commands listed under the Filtrete skill set, but in many cases it’ll respond with the purifier’s air temperature instead.

An accurate, concise set of instructions for integrating the Filtrete system with Alexa would be greatly appreciated. Also, the functionality needs to be expanded to include all of the listed commands.

Still, it’s at the very least on a par with other such Alexa-enabled skills for other home automation tasks associated with other devices. In conclusion, 3M’s Filtrete Smart Air Purifier (FAP-SC02L) has exceeded my expectations and easily deserves a five-star rating.

I would recommend it for anyone dealing with allergies, living with a furry pet, or simply concerned about the quality of their home’s air.

I have 2 of these in my small bedroom, and 5 more of these throughout my small one-bedroom apartment. These have worked perfectly to help filter out pathogens like viruses, dust, and germs. I breathe a lot better, too.

Because I have so many in my small apartment, I turn off the Plasmawave feature for most, so as not to create too much ozone in my apartment. I typically have these running all the time, with 3 out of 4 on the fan level.

I follow the instructions on how to clean the prefilter and carbon filter. I replace the filters about once every 6 to 9 months, especially after a brutal wildfire season. I have these going at full blast whenever I have any visitors in my apartment, or whenever I’m doing a lot of in-and-out of my apartment for tasks such as getting packages from the mailroom and retrieving door deliveries.

So far, these have kept me virus-free for the past few years. (I must also say that I mask everywhere I go, I allow fresh air inside when others enter my apartment, and I require mask wearing for anyone who enters my apartment, which are layered approaches to helping me reduce viral risk, in addition to using the air purifiers.

To keep them mobile on hard flooring, I’ve purchased 16″ rolling plant stands to place 5 out of my 7 air purifiers on, so that I can easily sweep and mop around them, while keeping them slightly off the ground.

Seems like it’s working, mostly. I’ve been using it for several weeks and do not use the ion technology. What’s good: I like that you have to option to NOT use the ion technology. There are some brands that don’t have it at all and some that have it but you can’t turn it off.

The filter types and quality are good on this model, there is a washable carbon filter that extends the life of the filter and the required filter changes happen less often than some other brands and need to.

Some need to be changed every 3 months. Although these filters are a little pricy, they not as expensive as many others, and not changed as often so I opted to go with this Winix. My allergies are better-not 100% but I do leave the window open a bit.

It’s quiet. I can say it’s gotten a bit louder in the last few weeks but still quiet and doesn’t disturb my sleep at all. It detects/goes red if I spray alcohol or lysol even in the next room with the door closed.

The not so good: I’ve used ammonia and bleach near it and it didn’t detect it at all. I’ve put it near the kitchen while cooking and sometimes it detects things and sometimes it doesn’t and some odors can linger longer than I thought they should (onions) but the odors do seem to go away.

Since this is my first air purifier, I don’t have anything to compare it to but I can say that it does help, but it’s not as dramatic a change as I thought it would be.

This appears to be cutting edge when it comes to air purifiers. I bought it because I like the fact they had a washable carbon filter. I was disappointed it didn’t come in anything but black but I’ll survive it.

However it is so much complicated being a smart device and I have yet to figure out how to make it become part of my smart network of many devices, which may be part of the problem I have over 20 devices in my smart Network.

. It operates sufficiently, I guess, and anything that would be relevant. I’ve yet to notice anything that’s significantly wonderful and nothing that is a problem. I like the size, and again I can’t impress is very quiet and I like that.

And it does look pretty sleek and design if someone’s into that. But I recommend it – probably. It definitely appears to have far more bells and whistle’s. The color is black I would rather had something else Although it is growing on me.

And I wish I could get on the smart network. UPDATE this thing has never stayed on and keeps shutting itself off. It’s too late to request a replacement so I’m taking a pretty big ‘hit’ to my wallet on this one.

Pros: —Purchased my 211+ Auto directly from Blueair in July 2021 and several months later the control button on top of unit stopped working. It happens – an inconvenience but not a big deal. Contacted Blue Air and a replacement unit was shipped out to me and I returned the original unit at no cost to me.

Kudos to Blue Air folks for honoring their warranty and replacing my faulty unit promptly! —Love the fact that Blueair offers a “First responders” and “Military personnel” discount – much appreciated! —The 211+ Auto moves a lot of air on the second speed without too much white noise which is what I was looking for in an air purifier! The unit sucks in air from all four sides of the machine and sends air out of the top of the machine – nice.

—This unit was recommended by Consumer Reports as was the 211+. However, the Auto version is more energy efficient and has a sensor with an “Auto” speed setting which are the primary reasons I chose it over the 211+.

Cons: —The prefilter skirt does not hold up very well. After weekly vacuuming and washing it every few months the stitching comes loose. I have purchased two OEM replacements during the past year and I recommend having a spare on hand for when needed.

—The OEM filter that came with my first unit was great. I cranked the air purifier up and the air coming out of the top of the unit smelled fresh and clean. Unfortunately, the OEM filter that came with my replacement unit had a sour smell that lasted about 2-3 weeks before it dissipated.

I had hoped that was just a one off situation. However, the brand new OEM filter that I recently installed also has that same sour smell (it is hard to forget). My unit has been running 24/7 for almost a week so I am thinking that I am going to need to wait another week like the last time before the sour smell subsides.

I find it ironic that OEM filters that are supposed to improve air quality by reducing air particles and odors actually created bad odors during the initial weeks of use in my case. I have thought about trying a third party compatible filter but I read that will void my warranty and I suspect that the filter specs would be different from a third party supplier anyway.

There is a lot to like about this machine but I hate to think that I may need to repeat this process when I install a new Blueair OEM filter. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this otherwise excellent air purifier until I am confident that the filter odor issue I experienced with two out of three filters has been resolved.

I have another sealed back-up OEM filter that I purchased and will see how that filter performs when I install it in approximately 6 months. I plan on doing a review update at that time.

I bought a 211+ last fall and was so pleased with the performance that I decided to buy a second unit for the family room. Instead I bought a 211+ Auto and the improvement over an already awesome machine in kind of mind-blowing.

The older unit is in the family room in the basement and I put the new 211+Auto in the living room. It’s so so so quiet. But I love the way it kicks in when it senses pollutants/irritants in the air.

If I cook anything that smokes (e. g. , tortillas in a cast iron pan), I can hear the Auto kick into a higher gear until it has cleaned the air sufficiently and lowers the fan automatically. The effectiveness of the filters is good enough that I’ve seen a clear improvement in my allergies and a decrease in my need for extra allergy meds.

Typically in the spring and summer I need to double my allergy meds (2x per day) to keep my asthma under control but I’ve only needed a second dose once or twice this year! I also love the pre-filters.

It’s easy to see when it’s time to change the pre-filter. They’re easy to change, easy to wash, and a great way to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the units. Finally, I appreciate the filter replacement subscription.

It significantly reduces the mental & organizational friction of maintaining the units and keeps my indoor air quality as high as possible year round. When I received my first replacement filter, I thought to myself, meh, it hasn’t been THAT long; maybe I can save some money and squeeze a little more time out of the old filter.

Then I compared the old filter to the new one and the difference between the two made it clear that 1) the filter had worked hard for 6 months, and 2) a new filter would ensure continued good results.

I purchased the Pure 211+Auto about a month ago after researching air purifiers reviews. We live in East Texas, where we have beautiful spring blooms, but horrible pollen problems almost year round, especially in the spring.

Since using Blueair Pure+Auto, our allergies are significantly reduced this spring. I particularly like that this model automatically adjusts to the amount of particulate matter in the air. When I initially set it up and turned it on, it ran on a more robust speed with the yellow indicator showing, but since then it has been on a low quiet setting with the blue indicator on.

The purifier is very quiet; we don’t even notice it in the at night during sleep hours. I had bought a purifier years ago, but it wasn’t that efficient and was loud, like a blower dryer on low setting.

Another aspect that I like about this purifier is that it is made for a specific size room, so you’re not buying a model that is over or under the air space capacity that can happen with a “one-size fits all” purifier.

So glad I purchased this purifier.

There are lots of great reviews here. Most fail to speak about what the product does. This is an expensive fan in a box with an air quality meter. It goes on if the air quality is alarmed. It just blows the problematic air around and does ZERO filtering.

I have two Mila units in two small bedrooms. I also bought two expensive medical-grade Air Oasis air purifiers and filters. After seven months, my Mila filters looked precisely the same. After two months, my Air Oasis filters were filthy.

I live in Central Oregon. It’s dusty here. I tried the mid-range Mila filter and the most expensive ones. Same thing. The most costly filters are also sealed at the bottom. So, where is the air pulling? Here’s how I tested: I held a string on all sides of the Mila product.

Outside, bottom, etc. There is ZERO pulling of air from anywhere. It also does not pull air from the top and blows it directly simultaneously. Impossible. So with filters clean after a few months, zero difference in smell, and on Auto mode, a fan speed so slow it does not even blow a piece of paper off the top of the unit, you can be sure that it’s all complete nonsense.

There is no filtration and zero purification. So if you want to avoid paying over $1,000 for Air Oasis, which works and cannot afford Molokule (another nonsensical product with lots of false claims), and you like the cool look of the Mila, then buy it, and call it what it is.

A glorified box fan. But that’s it.

I live in an average-sized NYC apartment. In the master bedroom and my son’s room, we’ve been using Rabbit Air Minus A2 purifiers. The one in master bedroom has been active for over 10 years and while it’s worked well, it leaves a lot of dust on the surrounding walls and furniture because of a built-in ionizer that can’t be turned off.

We’ve been locked down over the past year due to COVID-19 restrictions and over the past month or so, my wife’s and son’s allergies have been acting up when we’re in the living room with one of the windows every so slightly open.

Our finances being what they are, I was hesitant to get another RabbitAir purifier but I was leaning heavily in that direction because I didn’t think I had a choice. THEN, I saw an ad for Mila in facebook feed.

I read everything I could on the Mila site and I was convinced it was the filter for us. The onboard sensors and the info they provide are pretty amazing! It is obviously above and beyond what the RabbitAir could tell us.

We’ve had it running in the living room for over two weeks now and it’s made a huge difference for my wife and son. The sneezing and coughing has basically stopped. There’s noticeably less dust accumulating on furniture.

We also know how ‘dirty’ the air in the hallway is as every time the front door is opened, Mila detects a spike in particulates. I like how there’s a big selection of filters to suit your particular needs.

We went with the Overreactor. Filter changes are much easier than with the RabbitAir. While I like the general design of the Mila unit. I do wish it was available in different colors. Furthermore, I think it would’ve been great if all the panels were removable/replaceable for cleaning purposes as well as aesthetics.

The ability to ‘skin’ Mila with other colors, perhaps even printed patterns/images would be fun, eg. Charlie Brown/Snoopy graphics wrapping all around the unit for a baby’s room. I also wish the master On/Off switch was in the front.

Our original Mila unit turned out to have a faulty presence sensor. I engaged the support team and they confirmed that the sensor was indeed faulty. I was shipped a new unit and was allowed to keep the faulty one running until the new one arrived.

That process was easy and painless. The great support, aesthetics, easy filter replacement and wonderful app are the reasons why we’ll be phasing out our two RabbitAirs for two Mila’s in the very near future.

So far the Mila has been a bit more than I expected in some areas and a bit lacking in others. For the purpose of this review, I have purchased 2 Milas and have them placed on opposite sides of my apartments.

One is in the open living space, and the other is placed in the master bedroom. Things I love about the Mila: 1. It’s a very smart air purifier. This is an underrated quality as you simply don’t find air prurifiers with the sheer amount of features as the Mila at this price point.

2. The app (once you figure it out) is informative and provides unparalleled control over the unit with a host of features to customize the unit to match your desired AQI, noise level, etc. 3. The unit is attractive and easily fits within a modern styled home.

It’s small enough to fit just about anywhere. 4. There is no assembly required other than filter changes. 5. The app and unit itself get constant updates and it is clear the company cares about the product and will continue to build upon it.

6. When I contact customer service, I get an extremely quick response and they have always answered my questions and solved my issues. Things I think can be improved: 1. The accuracy of the sensors is called into question sometimes.

While I trust the ratings regarding AQI as it matches the measurements on other apps, other sensor reading are dubious. For example, the temperature readings on both units do not match each other, nor do they match my thermostat in a relatively medium sized apartment (2 bed, ~1100 sq ft).

The leads me to doubt other readings such as humidity. 2. The app, while chock full of features and usability, does take some learning to take full advantage of. Some settings in the app need more clarity.

For example you select whether you live an apartment or house and select the amount of rooms. Directly below that are “Small, Medium, and Large” but I have no idea which to select because there is no square footage associated with each option.

Is it relative to the apartment/house selection? Is it meant to be correlated to the amount of rooms? Is it square footage based? I have no idea. I wish this were more clear. The rest of the settings are explained well enough, particularly the different settings and modes for what it’s worth.

3. This is less about the unit and more about the company: I wish there was some “my account” feature or something to manage things like filter subscriptions. At the time of my purchase, the filter I desired was out of stock, but that is reasonable due to manufacturing restrictions brought upon by COVID-19.

I believe this is a feature that will be implemented in the future. Overall, I got what I paid for and believe it will only get better from here with updates and developments coming. I’m happy with my purchase and trust the company to solve my few issues.

We’ve had this aor purifier for about a week now and it seems to be doing great. My husband has really bad allergies and it has seemed to help. Walmart is the cheapest place for this air purifier. I looked at a few different paces and everywhere else wanted $100-130 for it.

I bought a filter, thinking it didnt come with one, but it does come with a filter. Overall I would recommend this air purifier.

slick design. this came to my door in two days. and today it is running full speed and I can already tell the difference in the air quality, they have been working on the underground gas lines for over a month now outside my home and there is a lot of dust this should do the trick, I liked the reviews so I purchased it.

I love the flow of it, and the beautiful sound it makes. white noise and not loud at all and I have it set on high. easy peasy purchase.

I received my MSA3 air purifier today and it seems like it will do a good job. it is nice and quiet even on high. The only reason I give it a 3 star is because the Walmart description says 1500 sq ft and on the MSA3 website it says 840 sq ft.

This product is amazing! The smoke buddy WILL eliminate all the smoke by blowing your smoke into the mouthpiece. The smoke buddy jr. is small enough to fit in your pocket or handbag without taking up a lot of space.

Its perfectly pocket size or fits right in your small Bag. It’s super convenient for smoking in secret. I wish they had this when I was in HS coulda saved myself a lot of detention definitely recommend checking these guys out!.

Best thing I’ve ever used! You breath in and zero smoke comes out it’s like magic. One drawback is this website has it more expensive but I was happy with my other products so I’m okay payin a little extra.

The fundamental purpose of an air purifier is to, well, purify the air with a near second to do so quietly/pleasantly enough that people can bear to have it on. The 75i seems to do that very well so far, based not on its own monitoring but secondary air quality monitors I have set up in my home.

It also looks as nice as hoped for, to the extent people seeing it for the first time don’t recognize it as an air purifier at all. Combined with long filter life and it’s a winner on that front. One star off though for a truly mediocre control system.

Touch doesn’t mean responses have to wait multiple seconds per tap (one doesn’t even know if they pressed it successfully because sometimes it doesn’t register at all), or that there can’t be any sort of haptic feedback or even raised bumps to help feel where they are.

Shockingly, and unlike the 45i, the 75i has no dedicated light control. One has to use the power button which is unintuitive and leads to turning it off trying to get the light back on, and it can only be off or full brightness not dimmed.

In no way a deal breaker, but surprisingly grating in a premium highest end air purifier. Again though not a deal breaker at all, once you have it set up its job is to just stay on quietly 99. 5% of the time, and the controls are serviceable enough.

The lights can be 100% turned off, which is the most important thing. So I’d absolutely still pick this model again for living spaces; the sheer capability combined with aesthetics is a solid package.

What a difference this purifier has made! Our home (for reasons unknown) is very dusty. Not anymore! Prior to this purifier, we would accumulate significant dust in a day or two. Now after a week of running this unit, we only have a minute amount of dust on any surfaces.

Both my wife and I also notice our coughing has virtually stopped. The air just smells so much fresher. Cooking odors. disappear quickly! We ran the unit initially on turbo for a few hours when we first turned the unit on, then switched to automatic.

The unit ran on high until the next morning, then gradually stepped down until reaching blue (the cleanest setting with the lowest fan speed). Since then, the unit cycles up only when cooking, opening doors, burning a candle, or running our humidifier.

We run the ionizer only at night and that seems to work best for us. The controls are laid out very clearly and are easy to operate. The color wheel makes it so easy to see what the air quality is at any given time.

The control display can be easy turned down by pressing the start button twice if the lights bother you. We have a shall 2 bedroom home at approximately 1300 square ft and the unit handles the whole home perfectly.

Since the unit normally operates on the lowest fan speeds in automatic, noise is not an issue. Even when running on turbo, the noise is not overwhelming. It’s noticeable, but it’s a soothing sound that does not disturb our distract.

The unit is bigger than we thought it would be, but it is easily placed and light enough to move around if need be. We registered the product online and signed up for the filter replacement program which gives you the option of picking how many months you wish to go before they send you a replacement.

You can also choose the type of filter you want based upon your needs. With the filter replacement program and product registration you get a lifetime replacement warranty! Can’t go wrong with that. I did have a question about a small compartment on the side of the unit that was not mentioned in the manual and got an online response the next day.

Customer service was very nice and efficient in explaining that compartment held the chip that controlled the unit. The only negative thing I can say is the packaging was rather beat up upon arrival.

Hard to say who’s to blame for that, but the unit was fine and undamaged when unpacked. I would highly recommend this purifier thus far. Makes a very noticeable difference with the air quality in our home.

Forgot to mention we do have a new puppy, so in addition to everything else it controls pet dander and odors!.

Easy to use, comfortable, and makes sure the odor doesnt get out neeeaaarrrlly as much as it would without it. Works best with the piece outside the window or with candles/incence

We love this! One member of the family is a heavy smoker but since using this in his smoking room you would never know this is a smoking house! One in his room and one in main area of 1500+ foot house.

No smell. If you light a scented candle with this on you will never smell the scented candle. This is a Power House! If it removes this much ‘smell’ what else is being removed?!.

Higher settings are a little loud, like can still watch tv but would need to turn up the volume. One of the features I like is an autosetting, where it adjusts the setting based on current air quality in the room.

We’ve only had it a week but so far very happy with the purchase, especially because we were able to get it for 20% the regular price!.

Perfect for my apartment (~700sqft). I leave it in my living room and it senses when I cook in the other room almost immediately. I never come home to stagnant air – apt. always feels fresh and clean!

I bought this hoping it would alleviate some of my allergy symptoms as some reviewers suggested. NOT! During the night I put it on sleep setting which is the slowest and most quiet of the fan settings.

So. is it purifying just as well as the high speed “allergen” setting?? Not sure, but probably not. The only difference I can tell between the different settings is the fan speed. I don’t feel it helps much with my allergies at all.

I got this on sale but I feel it was still overpriced. The Bluetooth is unnecessary (and a ridiculous feature in my opinion). I’m trying to figure out why it has a tacky bright blue light. Luckily it can be turned off.

I always have it off because I like a dark room at night and during the day the light is unnecessary anyway! The filter is easy to remove and although I haven’t cleaned it yet I think it will be easy to do.

Overall, I wasted my money.

Firstly, do not buy this air filter if you plan on using it at night time. The button lights are so bright, your whole room will be lit up blue. And blue is the worst color for nighttime sleeping as we all know now.

(Hence why all cellphones have a night mode that removes the blue from your screen). What boggles my mind is that they have a little blue accent light at the bottom that can be brightness controlled by the buttons, but at its brightest it’s still not as bright as the button lights! Makes no sense.

I am returning it because of the lights. Also, it’s expensive for what it does (no hepa filter). Now for the good. It’s a really nice machine. The touch buttons work really well and the fan is very “smooth” and quiet.

I found it challenging to decide which brand, which main cleaning technique (HEPA vs electrostatic), and how much to pay to get an attractive air cleaner that should help reduce germs/viruses in the house during the Christmas holiday season, and also serve at other times of year for dust/forest-fire-smoke.

I marginally preferred Honeywell over AirGenius brand when I purchased in early November 2021, in part preferring the washable filter style. I have been VERY happy with the look and operation of this brand/model.

The lowest two of the 5 speeds are quite quiet. I can see why some reviewers noted that the slowest (sleep) speed would provide a cooling air effect on a hot summer night.

We have 2 of these units in a 2500 sq/ft area and they have been working great. We hold workshops for staining wood and the odor is kept to a minimum. We run the units continuously on low speed and there have been no complaints about the stain smell being too strong during the workshop and when we come into the studio the next day after a workshop there is no noticeable stain odor.

There was a concern that the stain odor would permeate throughout the rest of the building but that has not been the case. During the workshop you cannot hear the units running. Been very happy with the performance of these units and would highly recommend them for similar situations.

The air purifier store was very helpful picking the correct units for my application and explaining how the units worked, provided great service delivering them to me and was the best price I found on the web.

I will definitely use them for all my air purifying needs.

Most importantly, you should calculate the cost of ALL of the replacement filters to know what you will pay EVERY YEAR for maintenance. My replacement VOCARB carbon canister (~$500) was supposed to last up to 2 years.

Mine only made it 6 months before I noticed strong paint-like odors coming from the unit. The replacement HEPA filter (~$115) also only lasted 6 months before needing replaced. An 8-pack of pre-filters cost me ~$118 and needs to be vacuumed regularly to last the expected 2-3 months.

At one point, I doubted the effectiveness of the unit for smoke removal so I held a cigarette near-by the purifier and the smoke rose to the ceiling away from the unit! A huge design flaw was putting the air intake hole at the BOTTOM of the unit.

Hot air (smoke) rises, so how is it supposed to capture hot gasses rising to the ceiling? **You can cut the maintenance costs down by purchasing replacement parts through 3rd party websites such as air-purifiers-america.

com Also, instead of re-buying the entire carbon canister, you can buy bulk charcoal and refill the canister yourself. However, my canister (40 lbs) would still cost me ~$460 to fill with bulk VOCARB.

My sister highly recommended the Air Purifier Store and this particular model. I had my kitchen painted recently and the fumes were very strong. I set up the unit about two to three weeks ago and I can’t smell the paint fumes.

I love that it’s portable and can be moved from room to room when needed. Right now I run it on low when I’m in the kitchen or watching TV. I run it on high overnight.

I have never written a letter like this before, but I was moved to do so after seeing the amazing difference your air purifier made in my life. I am a divorced Dad with three asthmatic children. Dust and pet allergies made my kids miserable when they came to stay at my place, and there was even talk of discontinuing visits because of the frequent sniffling and wheezing.

I thought an air purifier might help and after much reading on the Internet, I chose an AllerAir model 6000 exec. After only one night with the unit in his room, my youngest son woke up without the usual complaints, and now he looks forward to his visits at my place instead of dreading them.

He no longer needs to use his asthma inhaler when he visits either! The mother of a friend of mine, hearing of my success with the AllerAir unit, asked if I thought an air purifier might help with her chronic cough.

I lent her mine for a couple of nights and now she too is a satisfied owner of an AllerAir purifier. She told me it allows her to sleep through the night without the usual coughing which in turn allows her to be more relaxed and alert during the day.

I was also impressed with the genuine concern expressed by your agent when I called with questions. I felt that I was dealing with people who actually believed in the product that they sold; a rare experience these days.
